QIUET BUT BUZZING WITH ACTIVITIES

Ruben Centre is a little quieter this week because the primary school is closed for Term 2 holidays.  A Term Two Report is out. However the emphasis is on ‘little’ as the holiday time offers us a unique time to be implementing other programs and activities.

The Centre is a beehive of activities despite the heavy rains

The month of May is greetings us as it orbits at high speed past us.  Rains have come and the slum is a total mess with houses being washed away and general discomfort everywhere, however our work on drains and some stonewalls at the top part of the property has helped protect the Centre.

In the news

All invitations had been sent out and a crowd of about forty slum dwellers, along with the chief and the police were expected at Ruben Centre at 2.00pm.
