Freelancing On Global Platform Graduation-September 2018

"Ruben Centre Freelancing on Global Platform course has helped me to build an online presence and make a living through advertising my Spanish knowledge to people with a great interest. I have secured a job as a Spanish tour guide and I recently got an invitation to visit Spain Embassy for more opportunities ".
Those were the words of David Chege a former Freelancing student during graduation of Freelancing on Global Platform students September 2018
The students received a certificate, a report of their academic achievements as well as a six months contract including a working space, free WI-FI and a laptop to help them build their portfolio, create networks and work online. The students have been turning up for lessons (3 times a week) on time and their class participation was impressive.
Freelancing on global platform is a six-week IT course aimed at improving lives of youths residing in Mukuru between ages 18 – 27 years This course ensures that potential freelancers are aware of the requirements needed to build a business as a Freelancer on the worldwide global Platforms. All pros and cons of starting this business have been outlined, as well as the capacity to build the tools and resources that are to the standards required for successful business development in this area. The six-week course takes students through the learning processes of establishing their freelance credentials; networking skills; developing websites; portfolio building and assignment work.
So far, we have had amazing stories from the students who went through the Freelancing on Global platforms. Some of them have always joined in the celebrations for the students who are graduating to encourage them through their success stories. This year, we had four former students and they all had an opportunity to talk about their life after freelancing course. Here are just but a few stories of great strides and complete transformation triggered by new knowledge in the free world of Self-employment, self-management and big time connections with clients.
Joseph Osiemo: “Freelancing on Global Platforms has been such a golden opportunity for me to market myself to the outside world and sell my skills. I am a passionate poet and a spoken word artist and I use my skills to write poems on thematic areas such as corruption, leadership, online trends and social issues. Through the global platforms, I have been able to connect with other writers in t6he world and market myself to the world.”
Valentine Mbula: “Freelancing on global platforms has been an amazing opportunity for me and I totally do not regret investing my time to learn the six weeks course. I have been able to create concrete social networks and I am in the process of starting my own cyber in the community. I am very grateful to the Ruben Centre and the teachers who make this course happen. ”
Kennedy Maina: The freelance course gave me a big opportunity to increase my income through the online business platforms. Firstly, I was able to spot a network marketing company and I am making good progress. Secondly, I have also created networks with a digital loan company where I invite people and they get to join get loans and the company pays me commission from there. In conclusion I would like to thank the stakeholders in freelancing course through which I have been able to achieve a lot.
