With $43 and his tenacity, Ruben Centre may have unlocked future opportunities.
Chris is a resident of Mukuru kwa Ruben and community champion through “Muunganao wa wana Kijiji”. He is young man who is working hard to shape his life despite coming from financially challenging background. He comes from a family of three; one sibling and his mother who is struggling to make ends meet. Chris attended Ruben primary and later completed his primary school education at Gatoto Primary in 2010. He proceeded to Mbale boy’s high school in 2011-2014 and attained a mean grade of C-. He has been a lover of playing football which has now become his passion and skill that is taking shape in his life as a professional footballer. He assists his mother who works has been working as a house help in South C to educate her sister. Chris is familiar to his peers as a mobilizer, a photographer and videographer. As a Mukuru youth champion, he has been some was documentaries for Salama Centre events and other youth activities in Mukuru.
In mid-August 2022 he came across an opportunity in social media advertising a job vacancy to be steward through World Cup in Qatar. He managed to attend the interview at YMCA Shauri Moyo and qualified to be shortlisted. As a way to help forge his career, Ruben Centre has processed all document required for his travel. He had managed to pay for most of the required tests including the medical. He presented a request on Thursday 29th Sept 2022 to be assisted with 5000/= for attestation certificate which he paid and was granted. His Visa, tickets are ready for travel on Thursday 6th Oct 2022. We wish him well in his travel which is an opening for his life as young man aspiring to be professional footballer.
