The Great Restart: Call for Volunteers

Over the years, the dedicated support of volunteers has been instrumental in our journey at Ruben Centre, benefiting communities in both Tanzania and Kenya. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our volunteers had to depart in early 2020. Now, three years later, we are excited to extend a renewed invitation for volunteers to join us in capacity building at Ruben Centre in Nairobi.

We are proud to offer a three-bedroom apartment dedicated for volunteers, located at Nairobi’s popular estate South B. Situated within a secure and convenient complex of thirty apartments, it provides a safe and comfortable living space for volunteers.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking individuals or partnered couples who possess knowledge, skills, and experience in various fields of expertise and who are committed to meaningful engagement in the ongoing development of Ruben Centre and its beneficiaries. We welcome volunteers who can contribute in the following areas:

3.     Administration: Individuals with a background in administration can assist with ongoing organizational audits and the current leadership team restructuring.

4.     Donor Relations and Partnership Building: Volunteers skilled in donor relations, grant applications, and report writing are crucial to sustaining our projects.

5.     Media and Communication: Those experienced in website development, video production, Radio journalism and podcasting consequently contributing to spreading our message effectively.

6.     Urban Agriculture: Volunteers knowledgeable in urban agriculture, marketing, and product preservation can support our efforts in this area.

7.     Trade Skills: Experts in hairdressing, computer training, dressmaking, weaving, and fashion design can contribute to vocational training programs.
